Meet The Coaches
Phil Squatrito
HEAD COACH/OWNER
Phone: (904) 834-3917
My name is Phil Squatrito, also known as Coach Squats. I am the Head Coach and owner of Training For Warriors, Ponte Vedra Beach and Girlpower Flag Football. I have over 22 years of experience in fitness, training and health since I graduated from William Paterson University with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. I have been blessed to coach tens of thousands of children, adults, and athletes of every age. The passion for fitness I have helps drive and motivate me to bring out the best in others. I believe that our physical and mental health are the most important attributes we possess. They should be taken care of and protected at an early age so we can be the very best versions of ourselves in adulthood.
My biggest mission is to help empower our kids with an enthusiastic approach and to teach them the importance of exercise, training, proper nutrition, sleep and hydration. This will lead them on the path of great health, teach them discipline, give them confidence, and set them up with a great foundation of healthy habits as they all move forward in life. I am married and have 4 children, three amazing young daughters 12, 9, 7 and an incredible son age 4. Together we all fight the good fight of fitness and health. It’s not an easy one all of the time, but anything easy simply isn’t worth doing. I
BELIEVE that with the right coaching, culture, community, and training environment it’s impossible not to see extraordinary change and results. “It’s bigger than me, it’s bigger than you, but it ain’t bigger than US.” Together we can achieve so much more! I BELIEVE now more than ever the world and our children need more great coaches; leaders that can help bring out the best in people to ignite change from the inside out. Through positive encouragement, enthusiasm, and passion for helping others, there are few obstacles too great to overcome.
I BELIEVE that strength, conditioning, and fitness is for EVERY age, EVERY level and EVERY ability. It’s never too late to start your journey towards a stronger, healthier version of you! I have a passion for fitness and tend to get people a little bit excited about training and eating broccoli. Bringing out the best in people through positive encouragement and enthusiasm are some of my greatest strengths. I’ve always felt that building strength improves mental fortitude, a stronger body and a stronger mind leads to a stronger spirit. Life is full of challenges and in order to overcome many of them we need to arm ourselves with the proper tools of physical and mental strength, which improves through training. If you make time for your fitness, you will have more energy and time for everyone and everything else in your life.
Johnny Castro
Head Strength and Condition Coach – Training for Warriors
My name is Jonathan Castro. I am a Coach at Training For Warriors, Ponte Vedra Beach. Growing up in Northeast Florida the love for the outdoors, sports, & activities shows the importance of staying active.
My mission is to show everyday people anything is possible with proper coaching & accountability. Working with a range of kids to D1 athletes to 85 year olds my motivation is driven by helping people perform better, lose fat, build muscle, and make themselves feel great again! Collage has a great course with a bunch of versatility.
I believe more balancing/jumping/body control options throughout the course would be ideal. Ex. Balancing beams (logs), Lily pad jumps, rope swing/climb. Team building & working with others obstacles. Plans for this upcoming year. Development of nutriton / training programming to improve their everyday skills and habits. Improvements in speed. Importance of body control with arm mechanics & reactive drills. Test athletes on Grip Strength Challenges (Deadhang, Chin ups) Body weight challenges ( Push ups, Crunches) Sprint / Agility challenges ( 5-10-5, 5 Broad Jump Test, Distance testing) But most importantly building confidence in each & everyone of these kids become their absolute best. Unleashing their Warrior Within!
Lauryn Findlay
Coach
My name is Lauryn Findlay and I am part of the coaching staff at Training for Warriors as well as the Creekside High School girl’s basketball program. This is my first year as a coach for both programs, although I have assisted coaching girl’s basketball for over two years now.
My experience playing basketball throughout my high school career has ushered in my love of coaching fitness and basketball. Being born into a family full of athletes and coaches have inspired me greatly. My grandfather coached my dad as a young boy, and when I grew up, my father coached me. I was always taught the important principles behind coaching, showing that coaching is more than just teaching individuals a game or a concept, but it is a way of life for individuals to improve their overall physical and mental well being and livelihood.
I have recently graduated from the University of North Florida with my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Health Studies. While studying my degree, my knowledge of athletics and fitness increased rapidly. I could no longer be categorized as just an athlete, but a student of fitness and athletics as well.
I have a special adoration for athletes and hope to one day work with individual athletes on their health and fitness journeys as well. More importantly, I want everyone of any age, size, or background to be able to achieve their fitness and nutritional goals to obtain the best quality of life that they desire for.

Coach Dwayne Marshall
Certified Elite Trainer | Strength & Conditioning Coach | Former Pro Athlete
With over a decade of experience as a Certified Personal Trainer, Nutritionist, and Strength & Conditioning Coach, I bring elite-level insight and intensity to every athlete I train. My foundation was built over 7 years playing professional football in the AFL and CFL, and I’ve since translated that on-field discipline into training more than 400 athletes—from little league to the pros.
For the past 5 years, I’ve coached student athletes across Maryland to Florida, focused on turning potential into performance. I specialize in athletic development, strength training, and mental toughness—key areas that separate good athletes from dominant ones.
My mission is simple: to help build great student athletes into successful, unstoppable forces on and off the field. I believe that when you put in quality work, you get quality results. Treat hard work like easy work—and never allow yourself to be defeated.
